  11. I've got a generic 14.4k internal modem with a Rockwell chipset.

  13. The problem is it has started going off hook as soon as I power up the
  14. PC and won't hangup with the usual ATH0 command.  Everything else
  15. seems to work OK.

  17. It was cheap and the warranty has expired so I don't mind taking the
  18. soldering iron to it myself, does anyone know what's wrong with it and
  19. what I can do?
